The fourth film in the series that follows the magical doings of the pupils at Hogwarts school stole poll position at the box office for the second week in a row, making it one of the most successful movies of the year.

The movie brought in a total of more than 81 million dollars over the five-day Thankgiving holiday weekend, including 54.7 over the usual three-day period, according to Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc.

The movie has brought in a total of more than 201 million dollars since it opened on November 19.

The latest adaptation of JK Rowling's tales of a boy wizard also helped make the five-day holiday box office haul the second-largest ever for the top 12 films, with a total of more than 215 million dollars in ticket sales rung up.

The figure topped last year's box office take of nearly 212 million dollars, but fell shy of the 2000 total of 232.1 million, Exhibitor relations said.
